Residents and community members, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Echette Washington, and I moved into the community Oct 2021 with my wife Seaira Washington and two kids, Martell (son/ age 15) and Skyla (daughter/age 6). We are New Orleans natives. We have been stationed overseas and outside of Louisiana due to being on Army Active Duty for the last 5 years. I started my professional career after finishing at the University of New Orleans with a B.S. in Business and Management Information Systems. I worked as an operations manager for companies such as Home Depot, Lowe’s and Target. I later transited to the Human Resources field, working at LSU Health and Science, Target and Amazon. Nevertheless, at the same time, I joined the Army National Guard, originally servicing as a Military Intelligence Officer. Three years later I went to Army flight school and became an Aviation Officer. While in flight school I was able to complete my MBA through a military program. Since the completion of flight school, I have completed two tours to Iraq and others tours multiple countries. Nevertheless, I am family and community centric. I am big on playing sports and watching them. So, I stay very active. I am big on working as a team.

I highlight all my experiences to illustrate what I bring to the table, positions requiring critical thinking, being a people’s person, having devotion and awareness to deal with unique situations.
