My name is Steve Martino and I am currently serving as the Shadows at Manchac HOA Vice President.  My wife, Christina, and I live on Old Shadow with our three children; Conner, Lauren, and Grayson.  Our family is from Biloxi and moved to Prairieville four years ago.  We pride ourselves on being involved in the neighborhood through the HOA, committees, and events.

This was the first year I volunteered for the HOA and I would like to represent the neighborhood again this coming year.  Our goal is to maintain the neighborhood, property values, and level of community events.  Since we moved to the neighborhood, I have attended all but one of the HOA meetings.  Prior to running for the board, with the assistance of a few residents, we scheduled and held a Mardi Gras parade for the children of the neighborhood when outside events were cancelled.

Below are a few goals accomplished during this past year;

• The soccer goals were replaced and have been maintained.
• The HOA met with the drainage board and were able to secure a drainage improvement contract for the neighborhood. The project is currently out for bid and will not be a cost to the community.
• We spread mulch by hand at the playground for neighborhood children.
• We attended meetings with an attorney representing the HOA against a lawsuit from a homeowner.
• During our numerous events, I have assisted with the planning, set up, and cleanup of the neighborhood and event areas.
• We have collectively responded to all ACC requests and homeowner concerns.
